I receive emails from this recruiter several times a month, actually received one today. The job of course sounds to good to be true. As the saying goes if it does then it usually is.
On one ocassion I replied to one which was a contracting position with AT&T. The recruiter replied asking me for my SS#. In turn I asked her why she needed it, and needless to say I never heard another word from her.

Just another money laundering scam. The company itself looks real, but the job offer probably is not. Bad grammar aside, this type of deal is almost always fraudulent.

I'm sorry. This is just bad. It's clearly a blast-to-everyone email. 'nuff said. This company may be 100% on the level, but it doesn't look like it from the unprofessional way things are written. Another "Just as received" for the Ohio position, you'll notice the text is identical to the Hello Good Day posting. Internet job portal? Wow... This one is only 7 months instead of 8 months, even though it was received the same day as the Hello Good Day posting. I'm still not interested in short-term contract only positions. How many times do I need to say that?

This isn't the worst that has happened to anyone when it comes to recruitment, but hopefully some lessons will be learned here.

Ken Kirkwood of Automation Career Consultants is a technical recruiter in the Maryland area. He claims he is an 'ethical' recruiter. He is no different from the rest of them. I had several interviews, and most of the interviews had nothing to do with the type of work I told him I wanted to do. Let's just say I ended up with a job that I didn't like, I didn't do the kind of work that I wanted, and I didn't like the company at all.
